JoDan Music

Dan Wilburn has spent his life in music. As a child, he was hanging around the studio with his well-known engineer father Neil Wilburn. By the time he was twelve or so, he was setting up the mics, running chords, and starting to solder patch bay connections.

His first instrument was the saxophone, but by the time he entered high school, he had switched to playing bass, fell in love with it, and never looked back. From that point on, he played and recorded with many different bands, and, after high school, for many years, he took to the road. He was touring with the band Lundon Angel playing the same circuit as the Black Crows when his father suddenly died. He came off the road and took over for his father at their studio “A Cut Above” in Nashville.

Dan is a true innovator with a unique ear for what works in a song. He knows but often disregards the rules to create something truly new and different.

Page # 1 is a worthy example. The hard-edged music and conversational spoken-word lyrics are an experience not to be missed.

 Acknowledgements:

Page # 1 was written by Dan Wilburn. He engineered, produced, added the vocals, played bass and some guitar. Mark Tokach added lead guitars and Brian Foster the Drums.

Author’s Note:

I know we’re all different, but maybe we can all get along. That’s the song.       (Listen to the song)
